Altmann Garten Caputh

At least because

of the beautiful view and an extraordinary garden you should climb the Krähenberg in Caputh. Peter Altmann had created his garden with the aim of creating the best possible habitats for the plants as well as their optically harmonious interaction.

Altmann, student of the famous Potsdam perennial breeder Karl Foerster

and co-designer of the Potsdam Freundschaftsinsel, has created in the last four decades a natural complex of about 2,000 square meters with alpinum, heath and cottage garden as a habitat for endangered animals and plants.

The oldest part of the garden

is the rock garden with a small pond. Boxwood hedges capture the perennial beds. Many botanical rarities can be found in the garden.
